aboutMe

I originally hail from Seattle where at the age of 21 was successfully operating multimillion restaurants in the fast food industry.

By the age of 26 I had worked for Greyhound Corporation in four states, assisted in the acquisition of additional properties and ran one of the highest volume (and profitable) restaurants in the company. Later I worked for a small partnership in Southern California where I was hired to fix a failing chain of restaurants. Working 7 days a week the business took a year to start showing a profit.

My interest in computers started early in his high school years and spilled over into adult life when restaurant systems were introduced.  Virtually self taught, I combined my business knowledge with technology and began to offer consulting in the Seattle area. My clients ranged from small independent entrepreneurs to large publicly held firms such as Boeing Aircraft and Weyerhaeuser.

In 1988 I moved to Cleveland, Ohio and was hired to install and maintain a manufacturing system for an industrial manufacturing and engineering firm. Founded in 1869, it was at that time, the seventh oldest company in the area. My methods and business practices proved to be so innovative that I was promoted to General Manager within six months. I continued to consult and run the company until it was sold seven years later.

In 1997 I relocated to San Diego, California and in 1998 and expanded my horizons to the development of computerized interactive kiosks. Although innovative, the product proved to be ill-conceived and his business partner prematurely exited the company and then sparked a two year legal battle that proved to be futile.

I continued to consult for small and medium size businesses; primarily in leveraging current Point-of-Sale technology and turn-key systems. In 2000 I formed Computer Management Systems, then later renamed and incorporated as Rapid Domains, Inc. I successfully grew the company controlling interest was sold in 2007.

Disappointed with my financial planners investment results, I took control of my personal portfolio in 2008. I have done extensive research in stock market applications and spend about 50% of my time trading stocks. I also help manage a private foundation and consult on a limited bases.

I started with nothing but my childhood goal was to be financially independent by the time I was 35. Naive? Perhaps. But without our dreams what do we have? With hard work and the support of my partner, I was able to accomplish this goal by the time I was 46. Having worked from the age of ten, I am focusing on my personal life and traveling with my partner of 21 years. So far, I have traveled to over 100 countries, been on two private around the world tours and most recently honored through Holland American Cruise Line for traveling over 500 days.

I now resides in New York City and the East Coast of Florida.
